Obituary of Robert "Bob" Moogk
Robert “Bob” Joseph Moogk, 86, went to be with the Lord, September 25, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday September 29, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service Chapel in Kernersville North Carolina, officiated by Pastor Brian Beverly and Rev. Glenn Murphy.
Bob was born May 30, 1932 in Ontario, Canada to the late Rhoda Sorrell Moogk and Robert Weltz Moogk. He honorably served in the Royal Canadian JAG service from 1950 to 1953. While in the service he started as a mechanic and worked his way to the Intelligence Forces. After his Military service Bob worked many different jobs as a Service Manager and Facilities Manager.
Bob was known for his joking humor, making models of mostly anything that would fly, working on and building cars, and building planes. One of Bob’s greatest loves aside from his family was Flying.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include, his wife of 27 years Edith Mayes Moogk; daughters, Patricia Ruban and Yara, Kathleen Cocharane, Patricia Hisamoto and Robert, and Susan Crews and Daron; sons, Michael Moogk and Sherry, and Gary Joyce; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Donnie Moogk and Joyce; and many extended family and friends.
The family will visit 6-8 PM Friday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral &Cremation Services Chapel in Kernersville, North Carolina.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27103.
