DEAR PAT AND FAMILY WE FIRST MET DENNIS AT DAIRIOS ABOUT 2 YRS AGO WE WERE SITTING AT A TABLE HE WALKED UP AND STARTED TALKING TO US AS IF HE HAD KNOWN US FOREVER. AND A WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIP WAS STARTED. WE LIVE IN LEWISVILLE AND WOULD DRIVE 3 OR MORE TIMES UP THERE NOT ONLY TO EAT THE GOOD FOOD BUT REALLY TO SEE HIM. I TELL YA HE WAS A HOOT,HE DIDN,T MIND SPEAKING HIS MIND, AND COULD CARE LESS IF YOU LIKED HIM OR NOT. I DON,T THINK HE MET ANY STRANGERS.WE WENT UP THERE YESTERDAY,I WAS LOOKING FOR HIS CORVETTE DIDN,T SEE IT WHEN WE ORDERED OUR FOOD IS WHEN WE WERE TOLD ABOUT HIS PASSING.MY WIFE AND I BOTH BROKE INTO TEARS.WE,LL STILL GO AND GET THE GOOD FOOD BUT OUR LITTLE JOY IS GONE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND GIVE YOU GRACE. DEATH CAN TAKE THE PERSON BUT NOT THE MEMORIES ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. Offering prayers.
Dear Aunt Pat, Scott, Jennifer and Families,
I am so sad to hear of Uncle Denny's passing! I know my Dad was in heaven to greet him and hope that gives you all some peace and a smile picturing them together! I send my prayers and my love to you all.
Sorry to hear of Pop's passing. He will be greatly missed. We will be praying for the whole family. I remember so many camping trips and family visits. Love you guys!
I first met Denny one day on 490 headed for Kodak. I had to pull over when my fan belt broke. He saw me and recognized me as the new "kid" in area 5 eng group and pulled over and gave me a ride to work (B 23). Latter that morning he took me to an auto store and I got a new belt . He then took me over to dead car where he helped me put it on. Our friendship clicked from that day on including being the best man at my wedding.
I could write a book of all my memories of him and our families and all the camping trips together. It was a sad day for me when he moved to NC. Although we had e-mail and a phone calls once in awhile nothing beats having a beer together.
So sorry to hear about Dennis' passing. We reminisce about all those camping trip often. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Sorry for your loss.
